Hoarding can be hazardous to those living in the environment

It is difficult when you realize your loved one is living in a situation that is unhealthy to them, and their loved ones.  It can be an exceedingly difficult situation as the one doing the hoarding feels like they need all they have acquired. Often this situation will involve the feces of a pet who is not let outside, and the feces becomes part of the environment. At times the health department will become involved and will or can issue an order to have the contents removed, and the structure cleaned.
