Car Loses Control Causing Heavy Smoke Damage to Home in Elgin South Carolina

Now just imagine sitting at home on Saturday evening curled up with a book that has you totally captivated with its own dramatic pace. Good guys are chasing the bad guys, you sit up just a bit, hold your breath and BAM, your book just came to life in your home. Bad guy misses the turn while evading the good guys, bad guys intentionally pick up the pace, around a corner and low and behold there is no alternative route to their antics other than crank the steering wheel into a hard left. Good guys lay a strip of rubber to avoid their own collision and with bated breath watch as the bad guys’ nose directly through a split rail fence, and into the double car garage of a very nice home. Keep in mind no one was expecting them which meant the door was closed. Depending on how you look at it, fortunately for the homeowner, and unfortunately for the bad guys, it was a nice upright freezer that brought their trek to an abrupt halt.

For the one whose book is playing out in the garage the crashing sound resonated throughout the house. Then there was a sound like a high whine that persisted from what sounded like the garage. Not wasting a moment, the thudding of feet could be heard as they raced for the door to investigate the unusual circumstances playing out in their garage.

There is so much smoke in the air instantly the reaction was to turn around and find another path to escape. The bad guys being the law-abiding citizens of course had on their seatbelts…. Ok, just kidding. Impact had caused the bad guys to hit the windshield, and immediately was deemed unconscious and unable to stop the motor, nor to remove the foot from the gas pedal, which was obviously as they say, petal to the metal. It was the fire fighters that forged through the thick smoke to save the bad guys, and cut the motor, but not before the effects of the thick black smoke had filtered throughout the entire HVAC system in the home causing heavy smoke damage.
