Water Damages Courthouse in Chesterfield South Carolina
The use of subcontractors is something that has gone on for years. A courthouse has a maintenance crew, but also has outside contractors for repairs or improvements. While not intentional there is the occasion that creates room for error. Unfortunately this one occasions error was one of great magnitude. While a upper sprinkler system was being upgraded, one of the water line connections gave way. The onsuit of water was enormous, and not only affected the ceiling, and flooring, but the files that under normal circumstances were highly protected.
SERVPRO of Kershaw and Lancaster Counties was called to handle the water damage, and the preservation of the files which obtained water damage.
Water Mitigaion was performed, as was a Mold Remediation. Also, the documents were packed up, and taken to our facility for Document Restoration.
While it was a difficult situation, all were extremely satisfied that the level of preservation exceeded expectations.
